Tshwane; Gauteng – The Tshwane Sports Confederation have announced The Tshwane
Women in Sports Awards (TWISA) finalists, after what has been a yet another challenging year
on the courts, fields, tracks and in the pools of Tshwane.
While the City of Tshwane has the most incredible sporting talent, it is not surprising that
amongst this year’s finalists are Olympians and Paralympians. Women in sport in Tshwane do
not only excel in a diverse range of sports but do so within all aspects ranging from
administrators, technical officials and sponsors alike, and the TWISA are the opportunity to
honor and celebrate their success.
16 Award categories have been announced and the finalists and winners will be celebrated at
an award ceremony to be held on 16 February at Future Africa, at the University of Pretoria.

We are immensely proud of all our women in sport in Tshwane, says Winston Meyer, President
of the Tshwane Sports Confederation. They have continued to achieve despite the difficulties
and challenges experienced as a result of the ongoing pandemic.
